Watching Film Festival Movies and writing comments

Today in Cybersmart we watched some of the movies that we enjoyed from the Manaiakalani Film Festival. We saw that our movie had 17 comments, so we began replying to then.

We also practiced writing comments for the movies we liked as well. We learned that our comments have to be Positive, Thoughtful, and Helpful. Here are our comments we wrote to Room 11 for their movie.

Using Explain Everything in Reading

Today in reading we learned to use Explain Everything to help us practice our reading. It was really fun!

First we had to practice reading our stories. It’s important to practice first so we can read fluently when we record.

Then we carefully took photos of the pages in our book, and used the crop tool to crop out the background from our photos.

Next we recorded ourselves reading each page of our story using Explain everything.

The end result is our own little videos of ourselves reading, check it out. 🙂
